From Lyme Street to the Beach Communities

Old Lyme is a quiet shoreline town, where Lyme Street, the Florence Griswold Museum, and the town green sit a short way from the beach communities on Long Island Sound. About 7,600 people live in Old Lyme year-round, joined by several thousand seasonal vacationers in summer.

Along the Sound, beach associations such as Old Colony, Old Lyme Shores, and Miami Beach still hold mostly seasonal cottages that go quiet from fall to spring. We close those cottages in the fall, visit through the winter, and open them again in spring, and we look after the year-round and second homes inland too, checking after wind and rain and sending photo reports.
