Home Watch in East Lyme & Niantic, CT
Tide & Timber looks after second and seasonal homes in East Lyme and Niantic, CT while owners are away— for a season, a month, or a few weeks. Our team is based in Stonington, and we serve the whole town, from Niantic and the Crescent Beach shore to Flanders.
From Niantic to Flanders
East Lyme runs from Long Island Sound inland to Flanders. On the water side are Niantic, on Niantic Bay and the Niantic River, with Crescent Beach and the Niantic Bay boardwalk; Rocky Neck State Park; and shore neighborhoods such as Giants Neck and Black Point. Farther north, quieter roads run through woods and orchards. About 14 percent of the town’s 9,080 housing units were vacant at the 2020 census, and nearly 20 percent of the 1,989 in Niantic, counts that include seasonal homes.
Houses near the water take salt air, wind, and high tides, while those inland see wind, rain, and falling limbs. Our team opens and closes seasonal homes, visits on a schedule through the off-season, and after a storm sends photos of the roof, siding, and drainage, so you know what the weather left behind.
