Home Watch in Noank & Groton Long Point, CT
Tide & Timber looks after second and seasonal homes in Noank and Groton Long Point, CT while owners are away— for a season, a month, or a few weeks. We’re based in Stonington, a short drive east along the shore.
Two Communities on the Shore
Noank is a compact, working-waterfront community on a small peninsula at the mouth of the Mystic River, with boatyards, fishing boats, and small houses close together on narrow streets. Nearly 15 percent of its housing units were vacant at the 2020 census, a count that includes seasonal homes, so quiet houses are part of the picture.
Just west, Groton Long Point is a beach community on a peninsula into Long Island Sound, with a boardwalk and shore cottages. Its shore areas, including East Shore Avenue and South Beach, are mapped as coastal flood zones where waves can top three feet. In both places we close cottages for the season, visit through the winter, and check basements, yards, and roofs after a storm, with photos in your report.

Questions About Home Watch in Noank & Groton Long Point
-
Yes. Noank and Groton Long Point are both in the town of Groton, and we serve both communities and the shore neighborhoods around them. Mystic has its own page here. Not sure about your road? Just ask.
-
The checks are the same, but the schedule isn’t. A cottage used mostly in summer gets a fall closing, regular winter visits, and a spring opening. A year-round house we’re watching while you travel gets visits on your schedule.
